Jack D. Walker

Jack D. Walker is a partner with the firm. He has extensive experience representing public and private sector clients in a variety of labor and employment, business, and construction-related matters, including:
 

  • Representing employers in union-related matters, including collective bargaining and contract administration, union campaigns, picketing and strike activity, unfair labor practice charges, and prohibited practice proceedings.
  • Assisting employers with a broad range of employment issues, including preventive advice, investigating and defending discrimination claims, and drafting and enforcing employment contracts and covenants not to compete.
  • Representing business owners and contractors in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial and construction contracts.
  • Litigating business, construction, and fair dealership law disputes.
  • Advising school districts and municipalities on a variety of issues, including personnel, open records, open meetings and ethics.
 

Mr. Walker has been recognized in Madison Magazine's "Best Lawyers" edition for his work in labor and employment law, and the Martindale-Hubbell law directory gives him its highest rating of “AV” for professional competency and ethical conduct.  He was also named a 2005 Wisconsin Super Lawyer, a peer-nominated award given to only 5% of Wisconsin attorneys.

Mr. Walker earned his B.A. degree (1963) and J.D. (1966) from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Dane County Bar Association.
