James K. Pease, Jr.

James K. Pease, Jr. is a partner with the firm. He represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, and has extensive experience in the following areas:
 

  • Successfully defeating union organizing campaigns and effectively dealing with picketing and strike activity, secondary boycotts, “salting” and other coercive union strategies.
  • Negotiating labor agreements
  • Defending grievance arbitrations, union trust fund suits, and discrimination claims.
  • Advising employers on day-to-day personnel and other employment-related matters.
  • Helping employers comply with wage and hour laws.
 

Mr. Pease acts as general counsel to the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, Inc., and is a frequent speaker and author on labor and employment issues in the construction industry. The Martindale-Hubbell law directory gives him its highest rating of “AV” for professional competency and ethical conduct.  He also is a mediator in the Dane County Case Mediation Program, assisting in resolving a variety of disputes.

Mr. Pease earned his B.A. degree from Carroll College (1963) and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin (1966). He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Dane County Bar Association.
