Devon R. Baumbach

Devon R. Baumbach is a partner with the firm. He represents clients in a variety of business, construction, real estate, tax and employment matters, including:
 

  • Litigating business and construction disputes, including state and federal trial and appellate litigation.
  • Assisting contractors and subcontractors with drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, construction lien and bond claims, and public contracting and bidding issues.
  • Assisting business owners in a variety of issues, including organizing corporations and limited liability companies, selling and purchasing businesses, general business planning, drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and leases, and resolving insurance coverage issues.
  • Representing employers in employment-related litigation, including defending claims for disability benefits under ERISA and enforcing noncompete and confidentiality agreements.
  • Advising and defending businesses and contractors on sales and use tax issues.
 

Mr. Baumbach has presented seminars to a number of groups, including the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin and Edgewood College, on a variety of business and construction related topics.

Mr. Baumbach earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota (1990) and his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin (1994). He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Dane County Bar Association.
